WHOLE-BODY TRAINING

Where the broad training track ends, the trail runner begins. However, running off the well-maintained trails is much more like running on narrow trails. It is an intense whole-body workout that spares no muscle group. Still not convinced? Here is a list of benefits:
  • Improved coordination. Coordination training is guaranteed for anyone running on uneven tracks.
  • Better concentration. This is no time to let your thoughts wander. You need to be completely in the here and now, ready for the next step or turn.
  • Balanced load. Running on uneven paths puts double and triple demands on the feet and leg muscles. It is unusual to focus on one muscle group for an extended time, so there is rarely any overload due to one-sided training.
  • A sense of well-being. Exercise in the fresh air improves your mood and your lifts your spirits. Those who combine it with a rhythmic running stride – finding their natural pace and way – are guaranteed the feel-good factor.

HEIGHT TRAINING INCLUDED

The higher the route, the greater the training effect. Runners of all levels take advantage of this with us on a whole range of tours – from leisurely river trails to moderate panoramic paths to challenging routes for true mountain goats.

EQUIPMENT

Trail running is pure freedom, and once you’re hooked, there will be no stopping you. That’s why you should carry a trail running backpack for any tour longer than an hour. Water, a small snack and your mobile phone should always be carried and so should a water-repellent running jacket, as the weather can change quickly in the mountains. In case of an emergency, it is worth taking a rescue blanket (foil) so you can help others if necessary. Trail shoes with good grip, a profiled outer sole and a robust upper complete the essential equipment. If you like running long distances and/or taking the strain off your legs during ascents and descents, trail running sticks are also worthwhile.
